Apple is planning DV (digital-video) discovery sessions in the Republic of Ireland and London in May and June.

Aimed at teachers, the sessions will show how digital-video can be used to tell stories; demonstrate science experiments; perform drama and role-plays; develop visual literacy; record lessons for others to watch later; create coursework; gather evidence; celebrate pupil achievement; and analyze musical performances.

There will also be an emphasis on desktop movies – how they can be used to motivate pupils and share work. Registration for these events is free.

Venues include Dublin on May 22, Galway on May 23, Cork on May 24 and London on June 17.

Solutions, Inc, – an Apple authorized reseller – will also be hosting a Digital Hub demo on June 11 at the Joinery in East Sussex, showcasing its suite of digital applications including iMovie, iTunes, iPhoto and iDVD. Attendance is free.
