Apple has released Disc Burner 1.0 for International-English users.

The update is for Apple's new Power Macintosh G4s with internal CD-RW drives. It works with Mac OS 9.1.

Disc Burner allows the creation of data CDs using a Mac's built-in CD recorder. Apple's Disc Burning solution supports drag-&-drop CD authoring and can burn CDs straight from the desktop.

Move The move into CD-authoring places the company in the same market as other third-party suppliers of CD-authoring solutions.

Apple's solution only supports the internal CD-RWs shipped with its current range of professional desktop-systems. Third-party CD-RW units will require third-party software solutions to enable CD burning.

The update is available from Apple.
