Apple has released Mac OS X 10.1.3 – which is available as a free download using OS X's Software Update utility.

It offers a number of minor fixes, as well as introducing support for more CD-RW drives and digital cameras. The update also improves security for the operating system's implementation of WebDAV, Mail and SSH (Secure Shell – a Unix-based command inteface).

The company has added CD-RW support for drives from QPS, EZQuest, LaCie, Yamaha, MCE Technologies and Sony. Digital camera connectivity has been improved with the addition of support for new models from Canon, Kodak and Sony.

Graphics and OpenGL features have been improved. Also, DVD Playback on external VGA displays on PowerBook G4s has been introduced, and PowerBook video mirroring will be on by default when connecting to a new display.

iTunes has also been improved when the full-screen visualizer is used. The update is a 17.3MB download.
