Apple has published a KnowledgeBase document that gathers information about Mac OS X-compatible third-party peripheral devices.

The document, "Mac OS X 10.2: about compatible devices and peripherals", offers a series of links to pages that detail compatible devices and third-party software fixes.

In the scanner section, for example, there's a link to Hamrick Software's VueScan utility, a set of drivers to make older scanners work with OS X.

The pages also offer downloads for video camcorder, digital stills-cameras, storage and input devices,, displays and projectors, and printers. The article also offers links to information about graphics tablets, printers and image capture-compatible scanners.

Apple continues to fail to address the Mac OS X 10.2.4 battery bug reported in its Support pages, and has issued no official or unofficial statement at this time.
