As an early Christmas present to its most loyal customers, Apple has released an update for Mac OS X. The company claims the 10.2.3 Update delivers enhanced functionality and improved reliability for the following applications, utilities, and technologies: AppleScript, Classic compatibility, Disk Copy, Disk Utility, Image Capture, Mail, OpenGL, Print Center, and Rendezvous.

10.2.3 provides audio, disc recording, graphics, printing improvements, as well as AFP and WebDAV networking improvements, says Apple. The update also provides updated security services, and includes the latest Security Updates.

Mac OS X 10.2.3 is available from the Software Update System Preferences panel, weighing in at a hefty 51MB.

Two versions of the installer are available. One is for updating version 10.2.2 to 10.2.3, the other 10.2 or 10.2.1 to 10.2.3 (a "Combo" update).
