Apple may plan more retail stores in the UK and Japan.

ifoAppleStore's Garry Allen reports: "Word is circulating that a large computer company is searching for substantial retail space in Manchester - and it obviously isn't Gateway."

In a second exclusive report, he reveals that "Japan's culture for paperwork makes tracking future Apple retail stores much easier."

Apple has already confirmed it plans to open a third store in Nagoya, but Allen reports: "I've confirmed additional stores in Kyoto and the Umeda section of Osaka."

The reporter also claims to have "confirmed" Tokyo will "receive" one more retail outlet.

An earlier report says: "Otherwise, I hear that Apple's priorities for European stores continues to be the UK, Paris, Berlin and possibly Barcelona (Spain)."
