Apple is shipping a third-party connector that enables older 22- and 15-inch Cinema Displays to link up with Power Mac G4 Cubes and the current crop of Power Mac G4s.

In a pro-UK twist, the connector, manufactured by Molex first appeared on the UK Apple Store and costs £24.68. In the US and worldwide the connector will not ship until October.

The adaptor lets older DVI-connected displays connect to ADC (Apple’s all-in-one connectivity standard) Macs.

A note on the site reads: "Each display will continue to use the separate power supply it was shipped with. It will also require the connection of the USB cable to the USB receptacle on the Power Mac system to enable the USB ports on the display."

The company will offer no support or guarantee for the product.
