Apple UK has launched a new section on its Web site aimed at professional Mac creatives.

The Pro Section is designed to "demonstrate the creative use of Macs in design, photography, music, publishing, science and video". The new section replaces the Creative section Apple has hosted until now.

To launch the new area, Apple has published four new case studies examining creative uses of Macs. These feature Grammy Award-winning producer Kipper; a case study looking at a Swedish daily newspaper's move to Mac OS X; and interviews with architect Nigel Coates, photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Gladiator film-score composer Hans Zimmer.

The section also offers resources for font management in OS X, colour correction in Final Cut Pro, and a series of technology overviews looking at Xserve, Xserve RAID and Quartz Extreme.

The page also offers access to a selection of online seminars for Apple's creative market.
