Apple stocks closed at a new 52-week high following yesterday's trading, breaking the $30-barrier.

The company closed at $30.35 – its highest closing price since September 28 2000, when it closed at $49.31. Apple lost some gains on the after-hours market, but held steady above the $30 zone to close at $30.31 there.

The news follows Apple’s announcement on Monday of AirPort Express and investor anticipation of the iTunes Music Store showing success in Europe when it launches next week.
