Apple Europe is launching an affiliate programme to boost its online sales, reports claim.

Apple's programme will be implemented in France initially, French-language Mac Web site MacGeneration says. It means selected partners will be able to sell Apple Store products on their own Web sites, earning between 2.5 and 3 per cent on all sales generated through the partnership.

MacGeneration reports that Apple is working with TradeDoubler, which is managing the programme for Apple.

The service is likely to be extended into other Apple territories in the near future. Speculation exists that the UK is being discussed as a prime candidate.
