Apple has filed a trademark for the term 'MacExpo'.

AppleInsider reports that Apple has filed for ownership of the term in categories related to paper and publishing, advertising and business processes, and education, exhibitions and seminars.

According to the filing, Apple has previously registered the term as a community trademark in Europe, which covers its use in Spain, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Portugal, UK, Ireland, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Finland and Luxembourg.

The term has also been used for several years by XPO Group's annual MacExpo events, which are held in London and Germany each year.
