Apple has issued its first update for Front Row, it's remote controllable interface for multimedia on the new iMac G5.

Front Row 1.0.1 is a stability update, rather than a feature release. Apple's notes describing the software update say: "The Front Row Update delivers overall improved reliability and compatibility for browsing music, photos, and videos on your iMac."

The software presently only ships with the iMac G5, as that Mac hosts infra-red support that works with the new Apple Remote Control.

The update weighs in at 4MB, and is available through Software Update and for direct download from Apple's website.
