Apple has released a series of firmware updates for Intel Macs.

Separate versions of the update - the EFI Firmware Update - are available, for the iMac, MacBook Pro, MacBook, Mac mini and the Mac Pro.

Apple describes the software as one to, "fix several Boot Camp, start-up and wake-from-sleep issues," on the relevant Intel Mac.

The company has also released Firmware Restoration CD 1.2 software, which can restore the firmware of an Intel-based Mac. Users must download the software and create a CD using it. That CD can then be used to restore the firmware in any Mac should a previous update be interrupted or failed.
