Apple has released a maintenance software update for Logic Pro and Express, raising it to version 7.2.1.

Logic is a standard industry application for music creation and audio production that's widely used by many leading musicians and producers.

Apple describes the 30MB update as a "maintenance release that addresses isolated reliability and compatibility issues".

These isolated issues include ensuring that a Blank Sample Editor window doesn't appear sometimes and preventing unexpected halts of software instrument output. Direct playback of MP3 files and the compatibility of Logic 7.1 songs have also been improved.

Intel Macs benefit from ReWire and ReCycle support, Standard MIDI file export, OMF import, and VSL EXS instrument compatibility.

The Logic Pro update is available for direct download from Apple's website. The update for Logic Express is also available now.
