Apple has announced the date of its next Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) – June 28-July 2, 2004.

The event takes place once again at the Moscone West Convention Centre in San Francisco.

The Conference is a key event in the Apple calendar. The company previewed its current operating system iteration Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther), the Power Mac G5, iChat AV and iSight at WWDC 2003.

Apple says: "WWDC is the definitive event for programmers, IT managers, content creators, systems administrators or anyone who wants to make the most out of Apple's innovative technologies and the robust and flexible Mac OS X platform."

A series of short webcasts taken during presentations at WWDC 2003 are available for view online.
