MacExpo 2002 is offering Mac-wielding music professionals an advanced Creating Music seminar.

The Macworld UK-sponsored seminar will be led by Apple's own team of experts. They will guide attendees through an in-depth look at music creation workflow – from making to mixing music.

The organizer's Web site explains: "Starting with a typical song demo, you will see how to identify and extract the best elements, replace the rest, add in real instruments and print music for other musicians, mix for both stereo and 5.1, shoot promo footage on DV, edit in Final Cut and master to DVD."

Topics will include audio post-production, 5:1 surround sound mixing and music video editing using Emagic Logic 5.4 and Final Cut Pro 3.

The music seminar is scheduled for 2pm Thursday November 21. Spaces are limited. Registration for the seminar is open now. It costs £49 (in addition to the MacExpo admission charge).

Macworld UK is also sponsoring seminars that explore Mac OS X, Final Cut Pro and Shake.

Organizers claim 10,000 people have already registered for MacExpo 2002. Registration is still open at the reduced cost of £5. Admission costs £10 on the door.

MacExpo 2002 runs November 21-23 at Islington's Business Design Centre.
