Apple has released its AppleWorks 6.2.7 for international English users, an update to its word processing, presentation, graphics and spreadsheet application.

The update improves the presentation and spreadsheet modules. and offers spelling dictionaries in English, French, Italian and Spanish, as well as a new customizable spell-checker.

It also offers better AppleScript and Web content searching support, and improved label printing with improved table support.

The update provides better recognition and handling of Office 97 and Office 2000 files, improved support for multimedia files in database documents, improved Web template downloading over slow Internet connections, improved spreadsheet module - including Auto-Calculation, as well as enhanced support for documents containing links.

This version also supports Web based templates and clipart on networks using proxy servers.

AppleWorks 6.2.7 costs £65 from the UK AppleStore. The estimated build-time for the International English version of the application is currently set at 8-10 days, according to the UK Apple Store.
