Aspyr has confirmed it is set to ship a number of hotly anticipated Mac games titles.
Tomb Raider: The Trilogy, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and The Sims House Party are all ready to roll, the company says.
Aspyr has begun taking pre-orders for The Sims: House Party expansion pack. It's the latest in The Sims series and costs $29.95.
Aspyr says of the pack: "It's the party of the year and you're the host." Players may select between Cowboy, Rave and Luau party themes, get five new dance and music styles and can deploy a host of new items, including a bubble maker and dance cage. New characters include cake dancers and celebrity guests.
Tomb Raider compilation Tomb Raider: The Trilogy is a compilation of the first six games. The Trilogy consists of Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider Gold, Tomb Raider II, The Gold Mask – never released on CD – Tomb Raider III and, for the first time on the Mac, The Lost Artefact. The release features new levels and high-resolution movies. Tomb Raider: The Trilogy will be available for pre-order from Aspyr early next week and costs $29.95.
Tomb Raider Chronicles is also ready for release. It's the latest title in the Tomb Raider series. It ships with a Level Editor so Mac-gamers can design their own levels. Maps built using the editor are Mac and PC compatible. The title costs $39.95
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 has reached Final Candidate status and will be released this week. It's a skate-boarding simulator, developed by Westlake Interactive.
Also reaching Final Candidate status is American McGee's Alice. Built on the Quake III engine, it is a good and evil shoot-em-up set in Lews Carroll's Alice in Wonderland.
All of these titles will be distributed in the UK by Softline – which has recently signed a deal with major games publishers that should allow UK Mac gamers faster access to newly-published US titles.
