The BBC's Click Online show this weekend carried a report on Apple's forthcoming OS, Tiger.

The report focuses on Apple's move to introduce personal search technology in the release, called Spotlight.

"Spotlight can pick out individual words in PDF files. And a search for pictures can be refined, for example to only those shot in portrait format. But the clever part might be what they call 'smart folders'. Imagine a search that never dies - once created it continues to scan your hard drive for updates and puts the results in a folder on your desktop," the report explians.

The report also includes footage taken during Apple's senior vice president of worldwide product marketing, Phil Schiller's, Apple Expo Paris keynote speech, where he shows how the smart folder feature can keep track of collaborative projects.

The report (in Real and Windows Media formats) is available online.
