Bare Bones Software has released BBEdit 7.0.1, a minor maintenance update to its recently updated text editor for the Macintosh.

BBEdit is designed for HTML and general purpose text editing. It also provides extensive searching, transformation and manipulation capabilities used by Web authors, software developers and others. Changes in BBEdit 7.0 include support for CVS and the easier configurability of multiple Web sites, according to MacCentral.

Version 7.0.1 makes some interface refinements and corrects some problems reported by users, according to Bare Bones Software. A complete list of changes can be viewed on Bare Bones' Web site.

BBEdit 7.0.1 is a free update for BBEdit 7.0 users. The full version costs £139.
