Macromedia CEO Rob Burgess will deliver a keynote today at a prestigious US tech conference.

The three-day Thomas Weisel Tech 2003 Conference is hosted by the merchant bank of the same name. It attracts institutional investors and management from 100 technology companies.

Executives from investment firms, business and the tech industry deliver presentations during the event. A debate on the outlook for the technology sector between Forrester CEO George Colony, and Thomas Weisel Partners Growth Equity strategist David Readerman is also scheduled to take place at the conference, in San Francisco.

Macromedia's Burgess will speak at 11.05am Pacific TIme, 7.05pm UK time. Other companies participating in the event include Adobe, AMD, Imation, Motorola, and Tektronix.

The event will be webcast and the transmission archived online until February 17 on Macromedia's site.
