Apple is set to open its store in the Bluewater shopping centre in Kent this Saturday.

The new store is located at Unit 132 in the Upper Mall. Bluewater is one of Europe's top shopping locations; being close to the port of Dover and the Eurostar terminal at Ashford.

Apple is running its usual series of Grand Opening events including a chance to win a Digital Lifestyle Collection valued at £2,145. The first 1,000 people through the doors will receive a free Apple commemorative T-shirt.

On the opening day it will be possible to register children for Summer Camp workshops that will run during this year's school summer holidays.

Apple CFO Peter Oppenheimer recently revealed to analysts that Apple has plans to expand its retail base from the 103 stores open in the first quarter of 2005, to 125 stores by the end of the year. The store openings will include 10 outside the US.

Since Oppenheimer's announcement a second European store opened in Birmingham, and Apple announced that two more stores are set to open in Sheffield and Manchester later this year, or early next year.
