Brother is shipping a new series of Mac-compatible, monochrome laser-printers in April - the HL-1650, HL-1670N, HL-2460N and HL-3260N.

Both the HL-1650 and the HL-1670N print at speeds of 16ppm, have a 250-sheet media cassette as standard and a 100-sheet manual feed tray. The HL-1650 printer has 8MB RAM expandable to 136MB, while the HL-1670N has 16MB RAM expandable to 144MB. The printers cost £425 and £553 respectively.

The HL-2460N features print speeds of up to 24ppm, a 500-sheet cassette, and 100-sheet manual-feed tray. The £949 laser printer offers 16MB RAM expandable to 272MB, and features USB ports as standard.

Priced at £1,779, the HL-3260N prints at 32ppm A4, and 16ppm A3. The printer can hold up to 3,100 sheets and has 16MB RAM expandable to 272MB.
