BT has agreed deals to make movies, music and TV on demand available through its future interactive entertainment network.

The company has secured agreements with BBC Worldwide, Paramount and Warner Music Group.

Set to launch in autumn 2006, the service will combine access to digital terrestrial channels with an extensive video on demand library and a range of interactive services.

BBC Worldwide CEO John Smith said: "With video on demand rapidly shaping the future of television, we are very pleased to be part of BT's TV service from the outset, providing subscribers with blue chip programmes and high quality viewing."
