QuickTime will be used to stream winning comedy video entries from a competition hosted by British Web Broadcasting (BwebB).

Entrants may submit comic material in any compressed Internet-media format by email to BwebB’s Web site.

The judging panel will comprise comic actors Robert Llewellyn (Red Dwarf), Nigel Planer (The Young Ones), the Sun’s television critic Gary Bushell and BwebB chairman Jonathan Cole.

Web-viewers will choose one winner from five potential candidates selected by the judges.

The winner will have their own BwebB series for a year, and could be offered a video contract from comedy video publishers, Vision Video Limited. The closing date for entries is February 28, 2001.

British Web Broadcasting broadcasts comedy television through the Internet. The Web site has regularly updated comedy sketches and characters including Llewellyn and Planer’s sitcom series, 'Let’s Really Talk About Our Problems'.
