Apple has announced that digital camera manufacturers - including Canon, Casio, Kodak, Olympus, Panasonic and Sanyo - have integrated its QuickTime technology into their products.

Over 75 digital-camera models play back content using QuickTime, 25 of which also capture video clips in the QuickTime format. QuickTime can assemble still photos into movies, and download and playback video clips captured on the cameras.

Phil Schiller, Apple's vice president of worldwide product marketing, said: "We're seeing QuickTime extend beyond the desktop and into mainstream consumer devices."

Mary Miceli, Panasonic Optical Group's product manager, added: "Customers have responded very positively to the QuickTime feature, because they recognize it as a branded technology and understand the quality advantage it provides."

Camera manufacturers will show the QuickTime logos on the cameras as well as supply QuickTime software to customers.
