Pioneer has unveiled its in-car iPod adaptor at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

Pioneer's iPod Adapter will enable users of any Pioneer's car stereo that features the IP-Bus system to access an iPod through their car stereo controls.

According to MacCentral, the system will display up to eight character lines of text including album, artist and song names, depending on the head unit. More information is available to scroll and some units will offer multi-line display and list search capabilities. The adaptor charges the iPod when connected.

The Pioneer iPod Adapter will cost $140 and will be available in the US in March. UK price and shipping is to be confirmed.
