iPod-wielding petrol heads have a new treat in store, thanks to UK Formula 1 fan Gareth Bouch, who has released iKnow F1, an F1 encyclopedia for the music player.
The release - the third version of iKnow F1 - ships just in time for the 2006 F1 season. In a moment's motor madness, the product - originally among the first fully readable books to ship for iPods - is completely free. It uses the Notes function of the device.
Bouch explains: "iKnow F1 is basically a complete Formula One reference book with race statistics back to 1950, most recent seasons covered in full, an F1 glossary and general information, regulations, a 2006 race schedule and team line-ups, and a "MurrayBalls" section of commentator abominations."
Special Editions with extra fan information about Kimi Raikkonen and Anthony Davidson are also available. iKnow F1 is a completely free download.
The sites also host desktop patterns, icons, the "vast and definitive F1 iCal", screensavers and other stuff for Mac fanatics who are crazy for motors.
