Steve Jobs last night unveiled Apple's new top-of-the-range 22-inch LCD monitor to loud applause at Seybold.

The flat-screen Cinema Display is the largest LCD panel ever made, boasting twice the sharpness and three times the contrast of CRT displays. It also has zero flicker.

The display also offers the same viewing area as a 24-inch flat-panel CRT display and comes in a translucent casing that complements the new G4 range. Apple will also introduce new 21- and 17-inch Studio Displays to match the G4 design.

"This is the display we've all dreamed about for 20 years," said Steve Jobs, Apple's interim CEO. "The Apple Cinema Display is, without a doubt, the largest, most advanced and most beautiful LCD display ever offered."
