Wireless hotspot operator The Cloud plans to launch city-wide WiFi networks across the UK in March.

Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Oxford, Cambridge and the London boroughs of Islington, Camden and Kensington will all benefit from the company's plan to launch a network of accessible WiFi access points.

The company will launch similar coverage in other UK cities later this year, The Times reports.

Access will be limited to BT Openzone, O2, SkypeZones and Nintendo WiFi subscribers, but others are expected to join the list.
