ITV bosses want to make 'Coronation Street' and other major TV shows available to view on video iPods.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, ITV CEO Charles Allen confirmed TV bosses are considering such plans, adding: "It's well within our capability to do that".
ITV bosses also want to make their shows available to other media players, including mobile phones.
The BBC and ITV are currently cooperating on an initiative to broadcast shows using the internet. A limited number of people in the trial are already enjoying channel output on their computers.
