The Komodo Server launched by DA Computing at Comdex displays a remarkable resemblance to Apple's G4 Cube.

The Komodo is a small office-server, designed to provide LAN-connected users with a single point of access to the Net. It functions as a Web server, FTP server, Fax server, and firewall.

The similarities with the G4 Cube's appearance include a top vent and a transparent, plastic case.

The Komodo Server is twice as heavy as, and larger than, Apple's Cube.

Apple has not commented on the similarity between the two machines. However, given Apple's litigious nature when faced with look-alike machines in the past - such as those produced by Daewoo and Future Power until Apple's copyright case victory - many analysts believe the company will take DA Computing to court.
