Apple has announced the second-annual QuickTime Live! Conference, to be held October 9-12 in Beverley Hills.

The four-day conference will feature keynote speeches, 48 technical-conference sessions, nine workshops focused on authoring tools and a product showcase featuring a selection of authoring and distribution tools from over 50 companies. Also featured will be three separate tracks covering the development, production and delivery of QuickTime content.

QuickTime developers and content providers can register for the conference on Apple’s Web site. A platinum pass - which offers full access - costs $1,195 per attendee, a conference session pass costs $995, and workshop-only passes are $395. The products showcase will be open to the public for free on October 12.
