Apple is starting to seed Intel-based Macs to developers, according to reports.

The systems feature 3.6GHz Pentium 4 processors with 2MB of L2 cache operating on an 800MHz bus with 1GB of RAM, writes Think Secret.

While the systems run Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, Think Secret reports that Windows XP installs "without hitch" and booted up when installed on an NTFS-formatted partition.

However it was not possible to install the version of Mac OS X provided to run on the Intel Mac on any other PC. The message states that the hardware configuration is not supported by Darwin x86.

The graphics card in the seeded machine is an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 800.
