The man who is set to take over as CEO of Disney this October has admitted he would like to find a way of working with Pixar (and Apple) CEO Steve Jobs.

Iger told investors at a Deutsche Bank conference that it was too early to tell if a new Pixar agreement would be reached but that the two companies "had really good discussions", reports CNN.

"The fact that we are having a dialogue is a really good thing, and it has been really healthy. We'd certainly like to find a way to continue to do business with them, and I think the feeling is mutual," Iger said.

Iger also revealed that he is trying to get the Blu-ray and HD-DVD camps working on technology for next-generation DVDs to agree on a single set of standards. He said cooperation must happen before late 2006.
