Apple has released its DVD Player 2.7 update for International English systems.

The update is available for download from Apple's site.

Apple DVD Player is a full-featured, software-only DVD player for Mac OS 9.1 and later. The update adds support for all G3 and G4 models that shipped with AGP graphics display cards, including those from ATI and nVidia.

The update is incompatible with the DVD hardware in the Power Mac G3, PowerBook G3 and PCI-based G4s.

Apple has also released full documentation for its software-based DVD player, including full instructions for use, for setting parental controls, compatibility and for optimizing DVD playback.

Despite Apple revealing that all its downloads will now be available via Knowledge Base or Auto Software Update, this update is currently available only through the Technical Information Library.
