Dynamode has launched a £30 wireless router designed specifically to support cable broadband services from Telewest/NTL.

The device also supports DSL services. The device (the BR-6004 W-G1) is the first in a new range of "Lifestyle Broadband products," the company said. It is compatible with Macs and Windows systems, the company told Macworld this morning.

The router features a built in 54Mbps Wireless Access Point which employs WPA-2 encryption. It integrates an SPI Hardware Firewall and has a combined four-port Fast Switch.

The router also offers advanced features "never before seen at this low price point", the company claimed. These features include Wireless Bridging and optional higher gain antenna features.

According to Hoj Parmar of Dynamode, "This Dynamode Wireless DSL Router is extremely attractive to look at and offers amazing performance and features to cable internet users at an astonishingly low price point."
