Epson has announced its new 2.3-megapixel camera, the Epson PhotoPC 2100Z.

The 2.3 megapixel optical resolution is beefed-up with a 3.1-megapixel output that prints pictures up to A3 in size. HyPict Technology ensures images are defined whether printed in A3 or A4, according to Epson.

Other features include a 5x-optical zoom facility, an email mode that automatically optimizes image settings, and a nightscape mode.

The camera features Epson's Print Image Matching Technology. The company claims this helps the camera capture high-quality images with better sharpness, superior colour-balance and contrast adjustment.

The USB compatible camera ships with an 8MB CompactFlash card. Pricing has yet to be announced.
