Apple has launched a promotion for North American iPhoto users, offering them a 20 per cent discount on iPhoto book orders of $60 or more when they use iPhoto 2 to place their order.

Across the rest of the planet, iPhoto users can't order prints - or iPhoto books - directly from within the application.

Internationally, iPhoto users are upset that thirteen months after the release of iPhoto 1 they are waiting for feature parity with their North American counterparts.

Those who can enjoy Apple's offer have until April 15, 2003, to make their order.

These users can purchase albums in a variety of colours and styles at prices starting from $29.99 for a 10-page 11-x-9-inch thick photo album. They need to purchase two such albums to make the 20 per cent saving.

Apple has published a Web page about the offer.
