The anti-iPod backlash may have begun, with the Evening Standard electing to make a recent report front page news.

"iPods can make you deaf", proclaims the daily London newspaper, continuing to engage in an earnest warning to commuters not to use the iPod for too long at too high a volume.

"Experts" cited by the paper allegedly warn that: "The huge popularity of iPods and other players could leave a generation of music fans with serious problems."

"London commuters face the greatest risk as they play the machines at potentially damaging volume levels because of the background noise on Tubes and trains."

These experts also want Apple and other manufacturers to cripple the maximum volume of their music players. Users are evidently not capable of making that decision.
