During Apple CEO Steve Jobs’ keynote speech at New York’s Macworld Expo, Bungie Software’s CEO and co-founder Alex Seropian told the expectant audience that his company’s forthcoming game Halo will definitely ship for the Mac. There had been fears that Bungie would abandon the Mac platform following its acquisition by Microsoft.

"We still have a lot of love for the Mac platform," said Seropian, "and we will be bringing Halo out for the Mac".

Microsoft’s vice president of games, Ed Fries, apologised that his company had not been well-enough organized to port its many games to the Mac. He told the wary audience that a new company had been set up specifically to sort this problem out, and promised that all Microsoft games would port to the Mac as soon as possible.
