Over 300 companies will exhibit at Macworld Expo show organisers, IDG World Expo has announced.

Mac OS X-compatible software, hardware and services for creative professionals, educators, and consumers is set to feature heavily on the show floor.

Among the releases will be NewTek's LightWave 3D 7.0, a software solution for 3D graphics and animation.

Roxio will demonstrate Toast with Jam, an audio tool that produces high-quality commercial CDs and demos, delivering CD and DVD burning power plus professional audio editing and mastering for the Mac.

Creo will introduce Six Degrees, a product that navigates desktop clutter. Glass Bead Software will demonstrate SnapTalk and SnapMail, chat, messaging and communication tools.

Nemetschek North America will show its new OS X-compatible VectorWorks 9.5, CAD solution.

Smart Technologies will introduce SynchronEyes 2.0 for Mac, computer-lab instruction software that allows instructors to monitor and control up to 40 Macintosh workstations from a single computer.

Softchaos will present WorkStrip for Mac OS 9 and OS X. This application instantly previews files, tracks files and Internet activity and gathers them into groups.

Sony will showcase its Handycam camcorders, and Cyber-shot and Mavica digital-still cameras.

ThinkFree will exhibit ThinkFree Office, a Microsoft Office compatible suite of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation graphics applications.
