FileMaker is tonight previewing FileMaker Pro 5 on Mac OS X at a London launch party for Apple's next-generation operating system.

Mac reseller Micro Anvika, in Tottenham Court Road, will be hosting the OS X party from 11pm, to mark OS X's worldwide release at midnight on 24 March.

FileMaker will be previewed at a string of other OS X events nationwide, as well at events in the US and Germany.

The FileMaker line of database software provides instant and custom Web publishing. New features of FileMaker Pro 5 include built-in HTTP support, that allows authorized users to search, edit, delete and update FileMaker Pro records for up to ten users.

The look and functionality of Web-published FileMaker Pro databases can be customised to fit seven new Web themes and layout options. FileMaker is Apple's database software subsidiary.
