FileMaker has opened an online store offering third-part products that work with its FileMaker Pro 7 database software.

FileMaker Marketplace features over 50 products from worldwide vendors. International VP Keith Harris said: "There is a large worldwide community of FileMaker developers, consultants and software companies that bring out the best of FileMaker Pro resources to public and private sector customers. FileMaker Marketplace is essentially a one stop shop for FileMaker Pro 7."

The Marketplace can be accessed by customers across Europe in English, French, Italian, German, Dutch and Spanish. Prices are displayed in British Pounds, Euros, Swedish Krona, Norwegian Krona, Danish Krona and Swiss Francs. Customers may also use credit cards that are accepted internationally.

FileMaker European marketing manger Neil Wright said: "Over time we expect to add even more products and languages that will appeal to the large number of customers we have in Europe."

The site is designed to allow customers to purchase products associated with FileMaker and to raise visibility of the hundreds of products supporting FileMaker Pro created for the convenience of nearly every industry, government and non-profit organization, according to FileMaker.

To celebrate the launch FileMaker is offering free shipping on all orders during April as well as a £20.00 discount when a Markeplace product is purchased with a FileMaker branded product.

FileMaker has also launched a number of offers, including a "Buy Four, Get One Free" promotion.

Offers include: buy 10 or more licences of FileMaker Pro and get a free copy of FileMaker Developer plus; buy FileMaker Server or FileMaker Server Advanced and get 50 per cent off; buy two FileMaker 5 Packs and get a 10 per cent saving on buying a 10 seat Volume Licence Agreement.
