FileMaker has appointed Jon Sigler as vice president of product management.
Sigler is a 13-year veteran of Microsoft. Most recently he was group manager for Microsoft Access and Excel. While at Microsoft, Sigler was responsible for managing large-scale marketing, product design and development efforts for the company's database related products.
He has overseen development and delivery of seven versions of Microsoft Access, Excel and FoxPro.
"Jon is both a proven leader and visionary in the realm of managing industry-leading information-management applications," said FileMaker president, Dominique Goupil.
"We're very excited to have him at the helm of product management at FileMaker."
Before joining Microsoft in 1992, Sigler worked at Fox Software in both sales and marketing.
He holds a BSc in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University.
