Peripheral Enhancements has announced the release of a complete line of memory upgrades for the Power Macintosh G4 series.

The cards, called PC100 SDRAM DIMMS, are available in 32MB, 64MB, 128MB and 256MB configurations. G4 is shipped with standard 64MB of RAM and has four sockets which can receive modules up to 512MB each. Using Peripheral memory upgrades enables the G4 to reach 1GB of PC100 SDRAM. The company is currently developing 512MB memory upgrade cards, that will give the G4 up to 1.5GB of RAM. The memory upgrades are fully compliant with the G4's 100Mhz memory bus.

Brian Sartorius, Peripheral's Vice President – Materials said: "Combining the G4 PowerPC processor with a 100MHz memory bus provides the G4 with astounding speed and power...Peripheral has...the ability to design and manufacture upgrades which are 100% compatible with the new PowerMac G4."

The memory upgrades are available worldwide through authorized resellers. All Peripheral memory products feature the distinctive blue Memory Edge. Memory Edge symbols signify authenticity and indicate full testing for reliability and compatibility.
