Google has launched its Google Mini device in the UK and Europe.
Google Mini is an integrated search appliance that is designed to deliver Google-quality search across a company's intranet or public Web site.
The company's European enterprise director Roberto Solimene described the situation: "With more web pages, weblogs, corporate information and other content being created, businesses of every size are having difficulty helping their customers and employees quickly find the information they need."
Installation takes a few hours. The device can "search up to 100,000 documents", according to the company. It costs under £2,000 and comes with one year of support, including software updates and hardware replacement.
