Google has released three, fresh Dashboard widgets for Mac OS X.

As first noted by WebProNews, the new widgets include blogging, Gmail and search history tools.

The Blogger widget lets users quickly post blog entries, while the Gmail widget checks the Gmail inbox. Finally, the Search History widget will bring up all the Google searches a user has made in recent weeks, helping users track down lost information. Users can download them here.

"These widgets, which sprang from the brains of some engineers in their 20 per cent time, are a small step towards bringing our software to a variety of platforms," wrote Jonathan Berger, from Google's Mac Applications team.

"We'd also like to acknowledge the many great Google widgets people have already created, available on the Apple downloads page," he added.

There's more Google goodness planned for Macs. The company is also recruiting more Mac developers.
