The Gold Master of Bungie Studios' Halo: Combat Evolved will ship for the Mac from December 11.

MacSoft says the game offers better graphics than the Xbox version, as well as new vehicles, weapons, maps, and customizable multiplayer games.

The game can be played online by up to 16 people on either Windows PCs and Macs. A variety of individual and team-based games can be played, including King of the Hill, Capture the Flag, Death Match, Race, and Oddball.

The Mac version was developed by Westlake Interactive, and the game was created by Bungie Studios.

Macworld recently spoke with MacSoft and Destineer/Bold president, and former Bungie executive Peter Tamte.
