LCD manufacturer HannStar has received 15-inch panel orders for Apple's new LCD iMac.

The company has also received orders for Compaq laptops, according to DigiTimes. Apple and Compaq have requested 200,000 and 750,000 units respectively.

The iMac display shipments will begin in May, with an initial monthly volume of 10,000 units. This could then rise to 30,000 units in the future, according to the company.
HannStar and LG Philips are the only panel makers fulfilling iMac orders. HannStar said the orders were issued by Apple, and that the completed products will be shipped to iMac manufacturer Quanta Computer for assembly.
